Dead Plant Walkin'

STAY OF EXECUTION! So you all know how I feel about letting my seedlings get thinned out aka composted. I can't do it. But here's fantastic news, our friends Cindy and Ben who have a much larger garden than I and took the leftover butternut squash and cucumber plants. Now I'm trusting that they planted and loved my little babies and this isn't some "We took the doggie to a nice farm." In Cindy I trust.

On sadder news, my eggplant seedlings have had ZERO growth. Those picky problem children! They told me and told me eggplants were tricky. I think my mistake was I didn't take the seedlings out a little bit at a time to get them used to the elements. Maybe keeping them in the toilet paper rolls was a mistake? Are there any hints out there? And successful eggplant farmers?
Eggplants out... green bean in. I hate to say it but the eggplants are going in the compost bin this weekend. Next blog post find out how awesome my husband is.
